I’m generally not a big fan of drifting. The race track is hallowed ground, not a silly slip and slide. I prefer high speed, but the guys at iMotor may be on to something.
They took a Maybach 62 S, not exactly the car you think of when you picture drifting, sat in the backseat, drank some champagne, and had their driver loft them around the track sideways. That’s how it’s done in the UK.
The 612 hp of the Maybach should really be used to go fast, but the novelty of seeing a 6,000 pound car sliding sideways around curves while a tuxedoed man smokes a fine Cuban cigar in the backseat is just too fantastic to pass up.
